As a parent it can be very rewarding and gratifying to pick the greatest potty training tips and also the greatest toilet training supplies for your toddlers developmental milestones. For the part of nurturing your toddler’s growth and development, potty training can be one of the best and most fun times our kids go through.
As a parent to three young girls to chose from, we had put many hours into potty training our daughter, now the happy days of her toilet training are behind me and I have found a few potty training tips myself. The toddlers current age tradition and how potty train their children is a popular topic for both newbie and professionals alike.
As a child myself, I tried many ways of toilet training both young and old. From diaper changing to things like appeal books and gender neutral,I tried it all but often felt like nothing would work for my daughter. It was like she did not want to do the work or everyone and everything, was too difficult for her, not fun, And so of course I gave up.
DON’T DO IT!
I had this epiphany one day, that only experienced parents can have.
Learn how to toilet train your child and you will never have to use diapers again!
I took my daughter to work with me and she would sit on the potty one by one for about 30 in total. It was like she was finally letting go of her diapers. She would even say it was time to go, it was at last!
I could not believe she was learning to do this!
I was amazed that she didn’t even know she was doing it! She would pee and then move straight to picking up her underwear and doing it again. To me it looked like she didn’t care at all.
Then I decided to try one thing in particular and I was amazed by how effective it was. I gave her two liquids in consecutive times when she sat to go. They both smelled way alike but there was one that she would just go guinate and open completely. The only downside is that it is messy (I did not know this until later!) She tasted the other better!
Guilt. Look, I want to feel comfortable. I can remember feeling that I wanted to do it right and that I did not want my daughter to feel bad for her position. The “one stop” potty training method worked for me, I say it is time for you too!
I suggest teaching your toddler to urinate sitting down on the potty, like they use to pee at the sink because this will make learning how to go potty easier. You can place a potty where the other children in your family can see it as well. I found sitting on the potty with my little girl from birth gave us a much easier time, as both she and our daughter enjoyed playing with dolls and thumb sucking in order to get through the uncomfortable feeling. She was able to urinate in a small potty in thirty days, breaking that record.
