Best Tips To Fly With Kids

Best Tips To Fly With Kids

Traveling is great, right? Getting time to relax and explore new lands. Sleep late in your vila, have breakfast by the pool, walk around the city or take a nature hike. But what if you have kids? We all have been on that one flight with that annoying kid kicking our seat, or the non-stop crying baby. But not your children, your children are well behaved, comfortable and relaxed when they fly. Because you have read these tips on how to fly with kids. Oh, and of course because you’re an awesome parent!

Enough Space For Everyone

First up, make sure you have a family-friendly place to go when you get to your destination. Family holiday villas are definitely a good choice because of the space for each kid, their own room, a pool, game room, or just enough space to run around outside. It definitely beats staying in a small hotel room. But not only should you think of the children but also of yourself, besides, it’s your holiday too! How about a luxury bathroom, a gourmet kitchen for your private chef, and of course a stunning pool and view!

Early Boarding Is Your Friend

Normally airlines announce if any passengers travelling with small children would like to board first to allow for extra time. This can be a life saver in order to get everything crammed in the small overhead space before everyone else. No, don’t cram your children in there, we mean your bags! But the extra time to get the kids settled can feel like heaven before the place gets hectic.

Something To Keep The Kids Occupied

A napkin and a pen from the flight attendant scream poor planning. Don’t be that parent. Remember to pack some activities, like colouring books, an iPad loaded with shows and offline games, and some books. Your sanity, children, and the people around you will thank you.

Snacks Equal Happiness

A last minute cup-noodle purchase or a packet of non dairy creamer is not going to instantly become your child’s favourite plane snack. Keep the kids calm and happy by keeping their hands and mouths busy. Snacks may not be the healthy option for everyday routines but making flying a special experience, with snacks, can help keep the kids in line.

Sleep? Ha Ha, Yea Right.

Saying, “Close your eyes and we will be there soon.” does not work in the air. It’s a scientific fact. No childless human has ever gotten good rest in a standard airplane seat. Your rugrats will not be an exception. Trying to get them to sleep is pointless and will stress everyone out further. Instead keep your expectations real and keep them busy.
